Our aspiration as kaiako is to provide quality learning in a safe, secured, supportive and trusting educational environment where all tamariki will be valued as individual learners and all cultures acknowledged and supported. As kaiako we value ourselves as the first and most important resource for our tamariki, we support them by firstly nurturing emotional security and then providing an environment that extends and creates tamariki’s learning and development opportunities, laying the foundations for a love of learning and life-long learning.
Hello, my name is Marlene and I am a qualified registered ECE teacher and have been at Kids on Nineteen for 2 years, teaching for 30 years total. One of my strongest values is embracing diversity – all children are unique individuals. Teaching is not a job to me – it’s a vocation. I am a mother of 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren and I am committed to spending time with my family and supporting them in all areas of life.
Kia Ora, my name is Jen and I am a qualified registered ECE teacher. I have 2 school aged daughters. My image of a child is based on the belief that they are confident, competent, inquisitive and active explorers capable of leading their own learning journey. I look forward to providing your tamariki with quality early childhood education.
Hi, my name is Jess & I am a qualified ECE teacher. I have been teaching for 6 years and absolutely love it! I love being part of educating the children of the future and providing them with the best care possible in a safe and loving environment. My husband and I got married last year and have a beautiful baby girl Shelby. We have been in Tauranga for 5 years and love it here. I look forward to getting to know you all and being a part of the Kids on Nineteen family.
Hi my name is Mel. I have been a florist for 17 years and that, plus the knowledge and experience I have gained as a mother of 2 children have help me develop my role at Kids on Nineteen. I have been here for 4 months. I am enjoying experimenting, creating and developing idea for attractive and healthy snacks for the children.
